Rewiring Internal Learning for Peak Performance

Rewiring Internal Learning for Peak Performance

The mission? Turn compliance into competition and training into traction. By designing a gamified, performance-driven platform inspired by Porsche’s racing DNA, we helped redefine how employees learn, engage, and grow across the business.

Discover

Through workshops with Porsche GB’s internal teams, we uncovered a clear pattern: training was seen as a checkbox activity, not an opportunity for growth. The current LMS lacked brand cohesion, mobile optimisation, and motivational triggers — all of which limited its impact and adoption. Employees needed a system that felt less like homework and more like high-performance development.

Spark

We set out to engineer an experience that matched the Porsche brand — dynamic, precision-built, and aspirational. Drawing inspiration from racing telemetry, driver profiles, and gamification mechanics, we sketched a bold vision: an LMS that didn’t just track learning but fuelled it. Our strategy revolved around three core principles: narrative-driven progression, user ownership, and visual excitement.

Gamified UX Design We reimagined learning as a mission-based journey: • Challenge-Based Progression: Modules became ‘missions’, organised into tiers with a clear sense of achievement. • Level-Up Mechanics: Users could personalise their profile, gain XP, and unlock new content. • Recognition & Rewards: Completion triggered digital badges, milestones, and team-wide visibility. • Branded Notifications: Friendly, Porsche-styled nudges encouraged consistent progress. • High-Performance UI: A visual language drawing from dashboard interfaces and racing HUDs delivered an immersive, on-brand feel.

Measure

The concept was delivered as a fully interactive prototype, complete with user journeys and stakeholder walkthroughs. While the LMS remained in pre-implementation phase, it generated immediate interest from Porsche GB’s training and operations leaders. The project became a catalyst for internal discussions on the wider digital learning roadmap — supported by stakeholder feedback sessions, leadership alignment workshops, and the groundwork for performance tracking dashboards post-launch.
